Questions, Questions, Anyone?

I've decided that I should probably have an a FAQ section on this site.  Now I could invent my own questions, but what fun would that be?  Asking myself questions? Pshaw!  Not interested.

So I've decided to leave it up to you.  What kind of questions do you have for me?  What would you like to know?  If you could ask your favorite author anything (generic enough that I can answer it too), what would you ask?

Click comment and ask away.  I'm also accepting questions on twitter @wordsmithjenn.

It is entirely possible that I won't get any questions, in which case my FAQ section will just have to wait until people decide to ask me some.

  1. I loved your blog on children/adults reading. I was wondering if you new of any sites that can help with adults with dyslexia. I have had this all my life and I still find it hard to learn. In my school there weren't any place to help me so I had to do the best I could/can.It's very hard for me to sit and read afew chapters and go back to it later cause I don't remember what I read. I have to read cover to cover in a sitting.

  2. My brother is dyslexic and he has struggled with it his entire life. The most useful site I've found is Dyslexia-Adults (http://www.dyslexia-adults.com/) You can actually create a homepage for your computer that is designed for adults with dyslexia.

I don't know of any other sites, but I can make a few suggestions.

    1. Audio books. Books on tape/CD/ipod are an excellent way for dyslexics to enjoy books. I like to listen to books on tape in the car. It's great.

    2. Have a reading notebook. Jot down a few notes as you read. You don't have to take pages of notes--just write down the main points and big events. You can glimpse at your notes before you pick the book back up and it should jog your memory.

I hope that helps. If I come across anything else I will post it here. I also welcome anyone else who has useful suggestions to comment. Thank you.
