One man's trash is another man's treasure. Surely that saying regards books too. The book I think is the most overrated is a book many people love. It's also not a book, it's a whole series. I just wasn't impressed. I found it lacking. I do not believe this author is a particularly great writer. Stephen King agrees with me. I do not like to bash other authors so I will just leave it at that.
That's right! I hate the entire Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer. I loathe these books. I worked at a major bookstore during the Harry Potter craze. I had to work the midnight releases and the Harry Potter parties. Harry Potter deserved all the fan fare. I didn't think Twilight was as deserving. I bought them all. I read them all. I kept hoping these books would get better. In my opinion, they never did. Not impressed.
I agree totally. I tried reading them and couldnt even get 1/4 of the way through the first book.
ReplyDeleteThe books were good, but after I read them they began to drive me nuts...like, I couldn't really understand why exactly I liked them in the first place. I then realized that I only really liked the first one, and read the others more out of obligation to finish them out. But you're totally right: the Harry Potter books definitely deserved the fanfare.
