I don't have anything particularly insightful to say today. I wish I did, but I don't. I haven't written a blog post in a while though so I really thought I should write something today. Sooooooo here I am!
I planned on sleeping in today, but that didn't happen. I woke up at around 6:45. I closed my eyes and played possum until 7:30, at which time I gave up and crawled my very reluctant butt out of bed. Now what was I going to tell you? Ohhhh! That's right!
I wanted to challenge you. I want you to take part in my friend
Sam's twitter challenge. I'm pretty sure she's the one who started this one (at least that's where I saw it) and I jumped on board immediately. The challenge? It's simple, really. For 30 days straight take time out of your day to post on twitter or facebook one thing that you are thankful for. Here are mine so far:
#30DaysofThankfulness (day 1): Today I am thankful to finally know where my father's cremains are. Knowing brought peace.
#30DaysOfThankfulness (day 2): Today I'm thankful for my education. No matter how bad the economy gets, I get to keep it.
#30DaysOfThankfulness (day 3): I'm really grateful this semester is almost over. I still have a lot to do, but I could use a break :P

(day 5): Today I am thankful for my job. It's not my dream job, but I do enjoy it and at least I have a job.
I missed a so today I'm going to do 2. (1)Today I am thankful I had so much fun at the Ren Fest yesterday.
(day 7): Today I am thankful for my furbabies. Animals love unconditionally and we should all strive to be so good.
: (day 8) Today I am thankful for the right to vote . I'll exercise this right by voting in my local election today.

(day 10) Today I'm thankful that I ran into an old friend. She put a smile on my face and it was great to reconnect.
(day 11): Today I am thankful I can afford health insurance and the antibiotics that will get rid of this Strep!
#30DaysOfThankfulness (day 12): Today I am thankful for that I can jog. This time last year I couldn't walk half a mile. Today I jogged 3.
#30DaysOfThankfulness (day 13): Today I am thankful for my nieces & nephews: Anna, Patrick, Stevie, Jolie, and Sam. They light up my life.
(day 14): Today I'm thankful for date nights that distract me from writing down why I'm thankful :)
(day 15): Today I am very thankful for my freedom and all the brave men & women who protect it daily. Hoorah!
(day 16): Today I am thankful for time. There's never enough of it, but every day is a blessing.
(day 17): Today I am thankful for the warmth, food, and shelter I have been blessed with.
#30DaysOfThankfulness (day 23): Today I am thankful for new friends.
(day 24): I am thankful for my family and the fact that we are blessed with too much food.
(day 25): Today I am thankful for amazing books and movies.
(day 26): Today I am thankful that I'm pretty much finished with my major holiday shopping :)
(day 27): Today I am thankful for opportunities not missed.
(day 28): Today I am thankful for librarians because I would never find anything in archives without them!
#30DaysOfThankfulness (day 29): Today I am thankful for red wine. It really is delicious.
