Help Australia: 'Unprecedented Flooding'

Australia is in dire need of universal assistance.  I know for those of us in the United States Australia seems a world a way, and it certainly is.  It takes nearly a full day to reach Australia by plane from the U.S.  But we are all part of a larger community, a world community.  Australia is part of our world.  Australia has such a unique landscape and is home to many endangered species. Some animals are unique to Australia--only calling Australia home.

The following images made me weep.  These photos are heartbreaking.  Many of you are already aware of my love for wildlife and animals of all shapes and sizes.  I would like to urge all of you to look at the following images and then consider donating to one of the links below.  Thank you.

The flood zone is now larger than the entire state of Texas.

Above, rescuers from WIRES attempt to save stranded kangaroos.

Here a kangaroo (or possibly a wallaby?) tries to find safety.

Here, a goanna clings to a razor wire fence for dear life.

Snakes are also suffering.

A wallaby is stranded on a small hill in the flood zone.
