Ballerina Birthday (and More)

Next week my darling little Issa turns 4.  She is no longer a toddler. *sniff sniff*  In fact, after a recent growth spurt she's looking more and more like a big girl.  She's gotten taller and lost some of her sweet roly-poly baby fat.  It makes me a little sad to see her getting so big, but I'm happy too.  I'm blessed to get to watch my two beautiful daughters grow up, and I am so proud of who they are.  Both Issa and Ava are really coming into their own and they've got such distinct personalities.

Next weekend Kenneth will be driving down to pick up Ava and we'll be throwing Issa a ballerina birthday party.  Ava had a princess party.  Both of our girls are so...well...girly!  I've got some cupcake liners that look like fluffy pink tutus and I'm going to be picking up some ballerina toppers.  We'll also be getting her a butterfly pinata and a birthday pin to wear (she wants one "just like Ava's" but we'll be getting something different).

She wants strawberry cupcakes. Issa is all about the pink, and she really does love strawberry flavored anything.  Ava, however, wanted chocolate. I guess she's a chocoholic like me!  I think for the most part though Ava inherited her dad's palette.  She loves all of his favorite foods.

I'm looking forward to spending time with her this weekend.  Issa is ridiculously excited.  She adores her big sister and is always telling people her big sister loves her.  Ava is a good big sister too, and they're both going to have so much fun at this party.

I think we're going to take them to Chuck E Cheese the next day.  I loathe Chuck E Cheese, but they'll love it.  I suppose Chuck's pizza isn't too terrible and we can chat while the girls play.

Anyway, we have a lot of planning to do.  We've got a birthday to celebrate and then we'll be getting married just a few days later. It's going to be one busy month!
